Siobhan Harris

Siobhan has over twenty years experience as a senior finance manager in distribution and publishing, working with different teams on business cases, system implementation, contract negotiations. She is a sustainability advocate and has reduced her work days to commit time and energy to climate action.
Siobhan is the Stour Power Company Secretary, overseeing company records and transactions. She is enjoying working in this team of positive and dedicated people, embracing new challenges and knowledge, and making a difference in the local community.
Ralph Carpenter

Ralph is a retired architect. During his career he worked on a number of environmentally driven projects delivering low carbon buildings that have a deep green environmental profile. Recently he has worked on a number of energy powering down projects involving energy retrofits, some with green energy installations including solar panels, batteries and heat pumps. Ralph has worked with a number of community groups which are rooted in the voluntary sector where funding is tight. Support with fundraising has always been key to the success of these projects.
Ralph is based in Hartest is the upper reaches of the Stour valley where the rural context poses particular opportunities for the delivery of green energy projects.
Ken Jackson
Community Engagement, Strategic Planning
Ken was a founder member of Green Energy Nayland, the first community energy company in England. He initiated the solar panel project at Bures Community Centre and manages the solar at Ferriers Barn, a local charity. In 2011, Ken set up Transition Bures and serves as the chair of the group. Transition Bures part of Transition Network International. The group has established two community woodlands, runs a monthly produce stall encouraging local contributions and wildlife projects. Transition Bures has also encouraged residents to install solar panels and to use low energy light bulbs.
Ken is keen to identify local projects and to encourage people to make positive and sustainable changes.
Sallie Davies

Sallie is a lawyer and former BBC broadcast journalist. She is currently the Cabinet member for Heritage, Planning and Infrastructure at Babergh District Council and has been the Green Party District councillor for East Bergholt since 2023.

Gill Jackson
Stakeholder Engagement, Project Development, Event Coordinator
Gill has served on Bures St Mary Parish Council for 33 years, 27 of these were as chair. She has been the driving force behind village projects such as the Millennium footbridge to reduce vehicular movements and the purchase of Bures Common for the village. This latter project involved significant fundraising in a very short period of time. Gill is a retired headteacher who, whilst in that role, led her school to Outstanding judgement by Ofsted providing, ‘inspirational leadership which is both insightful and uncompromising in its aspiration to elicit the absolute best out of staff and students.’
Gill is a strong team player who brings organisational skills and clarity of purpose to Stour Power.
Chris Tuppen
Business Development, Governance, Strategic Planning
Chris has been involved in sustainability for over thirty five years. He was previously BT’s Chief Sustainability Officer and is currently a Visiting Professor at the University of Suffolk. Professionally he had a special focus on climate change, the circular economy and the technology industry.
He established the Global Enabling Sustainability Initiative (GeSI) with UNEP and the ITU in 2001 and was involved in the Ellen MacArthur Foundation promoting the circular economy.
He has been a member of the BBC and NHS Sustainability Advisory Groups, a member of the Science Based Target Initiative’s technical advisory group, a member of the Executive Board of the (then) Prince of Wales Accounting for Sustainability project and has advised organisations as diverse as the Universities of Cambridge and Nottingham, Nike, IBM, Clays printers, Circularity Capital, Blackrock and Formula 1.
Tim Regester
Strategic Planning, Stakeholder Engagement
Tim brings over 40 years of IT and project management experience across sectors including telecoms, banking, rail, and the European Commission. He has chaired finance for Western Europe’s largest purpose-built housing cooperative with a district heating scheme, and has been a committed renewable energy advocate since the 1970s.
Since 2022, Tim has served as a Green Party councillor on Sudbury Town Council and Babergh District Council.
