Stour Power Community Energy is a local initiative working to build a fairer, greener energy future for the Stour Valley and surrounding communities. Become a Member
Membership is open to anyone (aged 16 and over) who shares our vision of a low-carbon, community-powered future. As a member, you can:
- Shape our direction – Vote at general meetings and help guide our strategy.
- Stay informed – Receive updates on projects, funding opportunities, and events.
- Get involved – Join working groups, volunteer, or contribute your skills.
- Support local energy – Help us develop renewable energy projects that benefit the community.
Membership is open to individuals, community groups, businesses and local organisations.

Volunteer Your Time
We welcome volunteers with all kinds of skills – from technical expertise to community outreach and engagement. Whether you can help with events, data analysis, or communications, we’d love to hear from you.

Join a Working Group

Support Financially
If you're in a position to do so, you can support our work through donations, by investing in future community energy projects or helping us apply for funding.

Have a perfect site location for roof top solar, hydro or wind (or other)? You can be the driving force behind a project in your area.

Membership Application Form
Thank you for your interest in joining Stour Power Community Energy. We are a community-led initiative working to accelerate the transition to low-carbon energy in the Stour Valley and surrounding areas. Membership is open to individuals aged 16 and over, and organisations who support our aims and wish to participate in shaping our future.
To become a member please complete the form below. Your application will then be submitted to the Board of Stour Power for approval. Once approved, you will be required to buy a £1 ordinary share in the Stour Power Community Energy Limited. The Secretary will be in touch to arrange the payment and issue you with a share certificate.
